Moving on to greener pastures

Now that I have my very first "real" portrait under my belt I am going to freshen up a bit and do some study on shading and texture. I believe this will help me in my overall performance in working on the portraits, next I will try to do a nature picture and see how that goes for me, I seem to have a very bad eye when it comes to proportions, and this will be a way to help myself and get my eye to tell my hands what to draw, You have to train the eye if you want to do realism pictures. That just gave me an idea maybe I should just work on abstract art then it can look out of proportion and people will think I did it on purpose.... So hi ho hi ho its off to surf I go (the internet that is)
