My hubbies eyes
This is where I started, blocking out the image and the size of the actual eyeball, trying to place them in the correct spot on either side of the bridge of the nose, it is true its hard to draw a perfect circle by hand and especially hard to get them both to look the same but I did the grafting, parallels and so forth, next I will try to draw the lids and try to keep it as real to the picture as possible, I can see now why another fellow artist says she can easily spend up to 90 hours on a portrait, it feels like I will spend that long just on my first pair of eyes, training the eye to see the shadows and and small details will be the key for me.
